I am a little bit in love with this caffe. I started coming here when my previous favourite cafe in the world shut for renovations.
It has a great, fun atmosphere and really wonderful, friendly staff. I was treated like a regular from the very first day. And since I've been there pretty much every day for 2 weeks, I think I might be a real regular now. The coffee is great and the New York cheesecake is even better.
Price wise, they're pretty reasonably. When I go with my boyfriend, we get 2 coffees (a cappuccino and a hazelnut latte) for $7.50.
They don't play any music (none that I've noticed, anyway) which, in my books, certainly bumps up their appeal.
They're open from 9am to 5pm. But if there are still customers coming in, they'll stay open till about 6:30 (in my experience, anyway).
Travel time from Melbourne CBD: About 25 minutes.
Public transport: Easy. Just jump on the 907 (to Mitcham) at Swanston x Little Lonsdale and get off at Tunstall Road x Doncaster road. Then it's just a short walk.
