This cafe is in a semi-local shopping centre, so I visit it quite frequently.
The staff are really friendly and welcoming, the coffee is good, and the food is delicious. My recommendation? The sweet potato shepherd's pie; AMAZING. Also, the chocolate coated coffee beans.
Not too expensive. A regular cappuccino and a regular hazelnut latte is $8.20, and there's no minimum eftpos, which is always a plus.
Travel time from Melbourne CBD: About 30 minutes.
Public Transport: Moderate difficulty. Catch a train from Southern Cross Station (Lilydale-bound) and get off at Blackburn station. Then take the 703 (to Middle Brighton) bus and get off at Forest Hill Shopping Centre/Canterbury road. It's inside the centre (I can't find a shop number at this time), on the ground floor near Coles.
Address: 270 Canterbury Road, Forest Hill.
Rating: 8/10
